Srijan Kabra is just not like every other kid. He has a special talent of making his imaginations come alive. Srijan’s sketches and stories will take you to a different world. His stories include twists of adventure, thrill, and fun. I believe he is an inspiration for the kids out there who want to pursue writing.
Srijan has already published 2 books in a series namely Blahman and The Attack Of The Wicked Zombies and Blahman and the terrifying Terror of Jesica. Both the books are full of adventure and fun to read. Being such a great author at this age is unimaginable. I got a chance to interview him where I asked him 5 questions and I was amazed by his answers.
Me: Hi Srijan. So my first question for you is, what characters in your book are most similar to you or to people you know?
Srijan: Aven is the most similar to me, in fact, I designed Aven BASED on me. However, Steven is more like my friend. He is pretty active.
Me: That’s amazing. Do you like books? What books do you enjoy reading?
Srijan: I like all kinds of books but fiction books are the BEST in my opinion and I always read them.
Me: If you could be mentored by a famous author, who would it be?
Srijan: I would like to get mentored by any authors or anyone who has good tips.
Me: That’s indeed a great thought. Srijan do you have other writers in the family?
Srijan: My mom, no second thoughts there, She is the type of personality I adore…
Me: Yes, she is indeed good. Who has been the biggest supporter of your writing?
Srijan: My family, my friends, and myself (can’t forget myself can I?)
Me: That’s a smart answer, and my last question for you is, what advice would you like to give to the children of your age who want to pursue writing?
Srijan: Anyone of my age or younger, if you want to pursue writing, you don’t have to be the best or elite at it. When you start drawing or writing, your work will not be the best in the world, but you just have to practice your drawing or keep on writing. I wasn’t the best at drawing when I started writing books when I was younger, HECK they were pretty bad. But over time you change and I still have a long way to go, so I’m excited to see how much I’ll improve!!

Firstly it’s comandable for a young boy his age to get to books published under his name. Being a voracious reader my self, I feel wonderful when I see young kids being active in reading and taking up writing so seriously. Keep it up.

Ihave read Blahman book and must tell that book has the unique concept and the way author of this age can imagine things is superb. Liked the point that he mentions just go ahead with yourt flow of thoughts as there are always chance to improve.
