Beware of Narcissists

Narcissistic personality disorder is one of a few sorts of identity issue — is a psychological condition in which individuals have their very own expanded feeling significance, a profound requirement for extreme consideration and adoration, agitated connections, and an absence of compassion for other people.

Narcissistic identity issue is discovered all the more generally in men. The reason is obscure however likely includes a blend of hereditary and ecological elements. Side effects incorporate an intemperate requirement for esteem, negligence for others’ emotions, a powerlessness to deal with any feedback and a feeling of qualification.

The indications of narcissistic identity issue include: vainglorious feeling of significance, distraction with boundless achievement, conviction that one is extraordinary and novel, exploitative of others, absence of sympathy and extreme arrogance. These people are also known as soul-less as they cannot feel any pain of anyone and are extreme ruthless. They have an unrealistic sense of superiority. Their mind is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited successpower, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love.

Narcissists are ace controllers and will endeavor to make you feel both regretful and debilitated. They are extremely selfish and believe that they deserve certain privileges because they are unique. But ultimately the narcissists need self-esteem. They need trust in themselves and experience torment as a result of it. The external shell of narcissism is only their method for adapting to it.

Though treatment can help but there is no cure to it.

  1. I’ve heard that it’s similar to those with BPD only that disorder tends to disproportionately affect women. And both do better with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy I’m told. But yes, no cure.

    1. That’s super interesting!… Those two disorders seem like two sides of the same coin… Absolute opposites in how they affect a person’s view of themselves…
I wonder what makes them more or less commonly found in either sex.
I feel for anyone dealing with BPD or NPD. I can only imagine what either of them is like to live with. I hope one day a cure will be discovered!

  2. Just always be sensitive and maintain respect to everybody. With that, you won’t have any problem with anyone. But thanks for the tip with this kind of information.

  3. There are so many toxic people in this world. I feel you have to educate yourself about what makes others toxic. You need to know when someone is hurting you no matter in what form.

  4. I know some women who are narcissistic. I’ve learned to distance myself from these types of people, even in my own family. The relationship with them just became too toxic.

  5. ALWAYS be on the lookout for this type of individual. They are insidious in their ability to not allow you to see who they really are until it’s too late. Very toxic.

  6. It is always good to have knowledge on personality/character types. It makes it much easier to work with and help each other. Thank you for sharing!

  7. I’ve met them. I’ve dealt with them. I do not associate myself with them. I have a screening process when it comes to people I hang out with, and people who are shmucks, yeah, not going to “get through” my screening process.

  8. I’m very careful as to whom I have any type of relationship with. There are too many people that are too self-absorbed and I have no patience for it.

  9. I honestly don’t know if it sounds more scary to me to be in a relationship with someone with Narcissistic Personality Disorder, or to HAVE it myself…
Untreated, it can really wreck lives of both parties.

  10. Oh yes, this is very well put in describing narcissism. I know there are some red flags that you can look out for but narcissists are also known as expert manipulators. So sometimes it can be hard. Thanks for sharing.

  11. Yes 100% with this post. I have known a few and it’s very hard on you to have to deal with people like that – and it stinks when you feel like you can’t help either! This post is great – thank you!

  12. It’s tough being a Narcissist or being with a Narcissist. I wrote an article on this topic, but based on a sci-fy short story and my own thoughts. Tha’ts a very important issue! 🙂

  13. I may have encountered someone with this disorder but I failed to recognize it. The interaction was brief and so I took the easy way out and left. I really think people with this disorder must be brought in for treatment by their family members.

  14. I see displays of narcissism every day, especially on Twitter. It’s almost always from men. A former friend also displayed some narcissistic tendencies.

  15. I can truly say I don’t know or have encountered a person truly like this. I have heard of people acting this way and have seen them on TV. And then I did realize in our country our President might have these embarrassing traits🤦🏽‍♀️

  16. Those are crazy qualities to be aware of in people, not just men, but mostly them. Once I peep that, I run for the hills.

  17. I never encountered a Narcissistic identity issue. Maybe could you give some examples of how a person who acts with this? ‘(I know you list the characteristic but how would a person act, say, and perceive things?)

  18. Thank you for sharing this, is good to know these signs and what to look out for. Sometimes people can present themselves in different ways and if you are not aware of the different personality disorders, is easy to get caught up in someone else’s world.

  19. It is so important to recognise the signs of a narcissist and try to avoid engaging with them if possible. I’ve seen people who have narcissistic family members and it is horrible.

  20. This is such a very interesting topic to read, we must be well aware and prepare when someone is in this kind of condition. You’ve cited quite some really good points, for that thank you.

  21. I think we should no avoide them instead try to understand and help them since it is a disorder that they can’t control it.

  22. I have encountered so many many narcissists each day of my life and I am trying to avoid them just to make myself a toxic free life.

  23. So by what I’m reading I get they don’t chose to be that way it just happens.. I feel bad for them, they might never be truely loved or those who will must be suffering a lot. God help us all.
