Confusion Is In The Air

Previously on The Chronicles of Maya: The Other Perspective

Z’s POV

Zan was reminiscing about the first time he saw Maya on the surveillance footage of the restaurant where he worked. A customer had misbehaved with one of the waiters, and Maya had stepped in to defend him. Zan couldn’t stop thinking about her ever since.

Maya was a regular customer at the restaurant, and she would visit on Saturdays and Sundays to work on her laptop and drink coffee. Zan had never spoken to her, but he would often admire her from a distance.

One day, Zan received a friend request from Maya, and he was thrilled to get to know her better. He and his childhood best friend, Anil, went to talk to her the next day, but Anil left early, leaving Zan to speak with Maya on his own. Despite Maya’s reserved nature, Zan enjoyed talking to her and soon became friends with her.

Zan was smitten with Maya’s mesmerizing blue eyes and her infectious smile. Despite his flaws, including his tendency to lie and his short temper, Maya was always there to help him without asking for anything in return. She even helped resolve conflicts between Zan and Anil.

One night, Zan texted Maya to let her know he was going home, and she responded by telling him that she loved him. Zan was taken aback but happy to hear it, yet when he didn’t hear from her for five days, he began to worry that she didn’t feel the same way.

His friend Avishek advised him not to fall in love with Maya, telling him that she was a city girl and that their relationship might only be a passing phase for her. Zan began to doubt his feelings for Maya and wondered if Avishek was right.

Meanwhile, Maya was preparing for a long trip to clear her mind. Zan was left wondering about what the future held for him and Maya, unsure if he should pursue his feelings or let them go.

  1. I think Maya should run fast and far from Zan. A guy who admits he is a compulsive liar and who borrows money without paying it back is not a good choice for a partner!

  2. Nothing confuses more than a person both wanting you and not at the same time. I’d love to read this from Maya’s perspective.

  3. So he’s truly in love but scared. And so is Maya but she thinks he isn’t in love with her and now she wants to move on… Hmmm.

  4. I loved the way you do the write-up. It brings on so much emotions and create suspense. Can’t wait to know this story end chapter, I hope it ends happily.

  5. Poor Maya. She has such a conflicted range of emotions, and everything is so confusing for her. I really hope she finds a happy ending.

    1. Moni, yet again wonderful episode of Maya’s Chronicles. I absolutely adore the way you spin this fiction. It just piques my curiosity as everytime you end it with so much suspense.

  6. I hope that Z figures out what he wants. I think for a guy it’s about time that he grows up and starts making decisions for himself.

  7. not to sound cynical, but sadly Maya will realize if you’re not in that “perfect” relationship, Love will always be confusing

  8. Wait is aways painful. And when it is accompanied with uncertainty then it is killing.
I eagerly wait for each chapter this story. You are weaving so wonderfully keeping the suspense intact.

  9. This chronicle is getting more painful to read each time. Sadly it reflects the reality of love within our current society. There should be a technology developed to make us say what we really think and express our emotions too. Thank you for such a good read once again!

  10. Your writing is so amazing, I cant get over these every time. I love this so much. can’t wait to see what happens next

  11. This chapter has made me dislike Z even more, and the friend who seems to be twisting Z’s mind. Maya has done enough, and needs to look out for herself, not wait around for someone who isn’t making any effort for her. Everyone is afraid of getting hurt, but he is currently hurting Maya and trying to justify it because HE doesn’t want to get hurt, and that’s just selfish in my eyes. I just don’t think these two are meant to be together!

  12. Such stories like this are always interesting to read, they are intriguing. I wonder how events will develop further. Can’t wait for the next part.

  13. Love shouldn’t be so complicated, I think that Zan isn’t the guy for Maya and that she deserves someone who is sure about her as she is about them. But lovely read

  14. Thank you for sharing this story, it gives us all a great perspective on handling a similar situation.

  15. Maya seems like a really great girl! I hope she doesn’t let people take advantage of her in the future.

  16. Blair Villanueva

The story is getting better and better. Maya is such an awesome character.
    Of course, the writer too!

  17. This was such a lovely read and looking forward to the next episode. why is love so complicated at times x

  18. I don’t like this round and round stuff. Either Z likes her or doesn’t want to be with her. Her not calling Zan shouldn’t be a reason for him not to “fall in love with her”. Why can’t Z message or call her?

  19. Oh I am going to have to go see how this began! I hope however this ends it ends up to a good one – Maya clearing her head could be great!

  20. I can’t wait to know what will happen to Maya and Zan. Hope we’ll have a happy ending! Can’t wait to read the next chapter.

  21. You are such an amazing story teller. Maya is so interesting character. This was an superb story. Looking forward to read more….

  22. I don’t know why in love people keep waiting ,person to respond and express feeling this really make difference unnecessary. I love this fiction ,waiting for next article

  23. hmmmm not that he has admitted that he is a compulsive liar, maybe Maya is better off without him. Honestly, I don’t like bad boys but there are women who seem to fall for these types. Too complicated hehe

  24. Zan seems like one confused soul. I love the way you have shaped the story. Each character is gray and one is left wondering what happens next. That is the hallmark of a good writer.

  25. Priyanka Chhabria

Finally his part of the story! I don’t think it’s okay not to reply and still wait for maya to contact him. Afterall she spoke her heart out. Waiting for next part eagerly!

  26. I think Maya is doing the right thing by going on a long trip to clear her mind. Sometimes all you need is to break free from all the noise and clutter that surrounds us. I don’t think Zan loves Maya.

  27. I am going to take a day off from everything and read all parts of this story.. so so interesting

  28. I knew Zan feel for Maya. I hope they express their feelings to each other . I do hope they will be together.Waiting for next article

  29. Now we know what Zan think about Maya. Story is going on in different direction now. I think Maya and Zan both are confused about each others feelings. Looking forward to read the next part.

Why is it that the city girls are always misunderstood ? City girls also have emotions …. they can also love someone whole heartedly. Being a city girl who was victim of the same, I can completely understand how maya feels.
    .

  31. I love a good story. Love the instant connection that came through between the 2 characters because that depicts real life. That happens. Can’t wait to read the next instalment!
