Top 5 Books of The Month | June [Editor’s Choice]

July is a great time to relax with a good book. Whether you’re on vacation, at the beach, or just enjoying some quiet time at home, a great book can make your summer even better. Here are the top 5 books to read this July that will keep you entertained and inspired.

The Padmas by Neha Hiranandani

This book is a great read for children, as it introduces them to a world where people made extraordinary efforts in ordinary fields to create something remarkable. It encourages them to pursue their passions and believe in themselves. Featuring 50 stories of Padma Shri Awardees and their journeys from zero to hero, the book is beautifully illustrated and can be a wonderful gift for young children. My 10-year-old absolutely loved it and spent the entire day narrating stories from it, his eyes glowing with excitement. I’m deeply grateful to the author for writing this book. All the stories are amazing and inspiring, but the one that stood out for me was about Nartaki Natraj, a transgender woman who, despite numerous obstacles, proved her mettle as a classical dancer. This is my second read by the author, and I look forward to more of her books. If you want to know more about the book, click the link below and show some love.

Mental Toughness for Young Artists by Randall Curry

If you are in a creative field and struggle daily to come up with new ideas, this is the perfect book for you. It offers ideas, situations, tips, and tricks to boost your creativity. It also includes examples of creative giants and their habits. In today’s world, creativity is key to success in any field, whether it’s technology, art, marketing, sales, or science. This book is a must-read for both young and adults. Here are some tips from the book:

– Get bored often, do nothing, and simply immerse yourself in your thoughts. Take a pause and see how new ideas emerge.

– Don’t procrastinate; just take action. Don’t worry about starting perfectly; just start, even if it’s not perfect. Over time, you will see improvement.

– Block out time to pursue a specific task. For example, if you want to improve your writing skills, set aside time every day to write, even if it’s just scribbling. Gradually, you will see your writing improve.

And there are many more tips, along with worksheets at the end of each chapter. To get more ideas on how to be creative or to learn more about the book, click on the link below and share your thoughts.

I Am Another You by Priya Kumar

If you don’t know Priya Kumar, get to know her through this book. She will surprise you or rather shock you. She takes you on a journey to a different world, a world that genuinely exists but is less traveled and less known to us. This journey will enlighten you about yourself, your strengths, and your capabilities. She assures you that we are all born with similar strengths and capabilities; we just don’t use them because we are not aware of them. This book recounts her journey to the Netherlands when she lost everything—name, fame, money—and embarked on this journey for self-awareness. If you are lost, grab this book and find yourself again. If you are happy and successful, this book will excite you. If you are confused, it will show you the way. At the end of each chapter, there are intriguing life lessons. So pick this book without a second thought. Trust me, you won’t regret it. To know more about the book, click on the link below and share your thoughts or similar book recommendations.

Survival at Stake by Poorva Joshipura

Have you ever wondered why pandemics and epidemics are increasing day by day, unlike years ago? It’s because animals have become a business, and people are busy catering to demand and supply. Many of us are unaware of how each animal contributes to maintaining balance in the ecosystem. Every species, from the smallest bee to the tiniest ant, helps maintain this balance. As the population grows, so does the demand for meat, leading to farms where animals are given antibiotics that end up in human bodies. Sick animals living in cramped spaces with feces all around pose significant health risks to humans. The extensive research done by the author is incredible, and the figures are quite disturbing. Every individual should read this book to understand the world we live in and how we live. Read it, spread the word, and let’s strive for a better world for our children and future generations. I urge you to read the detailed review in the link below to learn more about the book. It will open your eyes and help you take better care of your health.

Queen and King by Nandini Gupta

You might think this is about a king and queen living a comfortable life in a palace. However, they are not living in a palace but are madly in love with each other. The queen becomes pregnant, and a beautiful baby is born. It seems like a happy ending, but the story is thrilling, captivating, and mysterious. The baby, who was supposed to bring light and happiness to the family, gradually brings darkness into their lives. What happens next is totally unpredictable. The book’s unique writing style and plot will keep you hooked until the last page, and the ending will shock you. If you enjoy mysterious and thrilling stories, this is a must-read.
