Moni: Hello Rima, thank you for joining me here today in Interview Zone so should I proceed with the questions?

Rima: Yes Sure. Go ahead.

Moni: Hardik Hermosa is your business where you first started designing T-shirts, So what sparked your interest in fashion? And what made you take fashion more seriously and make a career out of it?

Rima: Business is in my blood, half of my family has their own businesses. I have done many sort of jobs while studying in college but I was not satisfied with what I was doing. I always wanted to do something of my own. I always wanted to step in business but I did not know what to do. After a few years of thinking, one of my friends suggested of T-shirts and printing on them. I loved fashion so I thought why not make a career out of it. And from there I haven’t looked back. Rest is history.

Moni: Are you self-taught or did you study fashion design?

Rima: No I have not studied about fashion design but I had learnt drawing.

Moni: How has your work evolved since you began your own label?

Rima: Initially I started from my facebook account, then started my own facebook page which leaded to re-seller as well. Currently I am planning for an outlet as well.

Moni: You started from t-shirts now you work on Saree and other fashion accessories as well so have your pieces become more appealing to people as a result?

Rima: Yes it has helped me to get more connections. Moreover I had got bigger and better scopes.

On this topic people here are some of Rima’s works.

Moni: You are well educated, so rather than doing a job why did you choose to go for a business?

Rima: Because I can’t do a 9 hour job under anyone.

Moni: What are you fascinated by at the moment and how does it feed into your work?

Rima: I love to put myself into customers shoes moreover I try to keep myself updated with fashion, that itself fascinates me and as it gives me more enthusiasm to work.

Moni: Apart from work what do you prefer to do?

Rima: I love mountain so whenever I get a chance I go for trekking.

Moni: That’s impressive. Have you ever thought of expanding your business out of your country?

Rima: I have plans but we never know what our future can lead to so let’s see.

Moni: What advice would you give to young people who want to enter into business field?

Rima: If you want something don’t wait for it to come to you, go and fight for it. Willpower is important in anything you want to do and achieve.

Moni: Ok Rima, I will end the interview here. Thanks for giving your valuable time and it was great to know your thoughts.

Interesting interview. Sounds like this gal had a lot of inspiration and modeling from her family, which definitely makes it easier to do something similar. It’s great that so many young people have been able to start their own business and make it work for them.

In today’s rapidly-growing economy, everyone wants to do some bit of business and it’s a nice move I must agree. Anyway, Rima is awesome; as a self-taught designer who is making such wonderful sarees, I must commend her.

Fashion design would be such a cool career choice with creative and challenging work. You can achieve great opportunities if you know how to present yourself during an interview. Being professional, sharp and concise and friendly in your communication can go a long way.
