Previously on The Chronicles of Maya: The End Part 1
Maya had decided to take matters into her own hands. She boarded a flight from Mumbai to Delhi and then traveled for two more hours until she reached Rohtak, where she had Zan’s address.
Maya had not informed anyone about her trip, leaving only a message on a sticky note saying that she had an urgent errand to run and would be back by the following day.
As Maya stepped out of the cab and approached Zan’s villa, she was astounded by its opulence. Zan had always told her that he came from a middle-class family, but the large gate with two security guards and the luxurious bungalow behind it told a different story.
The security guards asked Maya whom she wanted to meet, and she replied that she wanted to see Mrs. Shehrawat. When they asked if she had an appointment, she nodded her head. However, the guards informed her that Mrs. Shehrawat did not meet with anyone without an appointment.
Maya pleaded with the guards to let her inside, explaining how important it was for her to meet Mrs. Shehrawat. But the guards refused to budge. Suddenly, a car approached from behind, and a middle-aged man stepped out and asked what was going on.
The guards explained the situation to the man, who looked at Maya and asked if she was there to sell information about their rivals. Maya broke down in tears and fell to her knees, revealing that she was pregnant with Zan’s child and that she simply wanted a father for her child.
The man, Sopan Ahluwalia, introduced himself as Zan’s maternal uncle and said that if what Maya said was true and the child was their heir, he would ensure that Zan and his family accepted it. He took Maya inside the house and promised to help her.
Maya was overjoyed at the prospect of her child having a father’s name and felt grateful to Sopan for his kindness.
