The Storm on Maya is Brewing

Previously on The Chronicles of Maya: Maya’s Intuition

Zan and Maya had grown closer since his return from his trip, but their happiness was short-lived when a raid in Alkapuri, Vadodara, caused the shutdown of Zan and Anil’s business. The devastation was overwhelming as their hard work over the years had gone to waste.

Zan, unable to cope with the loss, turned to alcohol, and strange people started visiting him, causing concern for Maya. She tried to offer him advice and support, but he became verbally abusive towards her and even made fun of her in front of his friends.

Maya didn’t realize that Zan had become financially dependent on her and would emotionally manipulate her into giving him money. He had given up on work and had become physically and mentally abusive towards her.

Maya was unaware that she was becoming weaker every day as she continued to enable Zan’s destructive behavior. The situation was becoming unbearable for her.

  1. Wow, great story! People like Zan always leave me feeling conflicted… Like, I’m angry because of how you’re treating others, but I understand the dangers of alcoholism & how it can change someone. Really great read!

  2. I never trusted Zan from the start, and this post made me glad I never did! A lot of these things are very similar to my upbringing actually, with the alcoholism and the asking for money. Can’t wait for Maya to leave and never come back, I’m sick with worry for her.

I’m so sorry for Maya. Hope she will figure out what a big mistake she has done being with Zan.

  4. Oh no Maya, I feel so sorry for her. I hope she can overcome these situations. It’s getting intense. I can’t wait to know what she’ll do about it.

  5. Interesting story and feel sorry for maya! Sometimes even we try hard to be strong at the end we get weaker! waiting for the next!

  6. If Zan seeks alcohol support, it means he is frustrated with the relationship with Maya. I do not feel sympathy for either of them as they both live in illusion.

    1. Im glad to came across with your page. Got hooked and would flip previous writings about maya.

Maya seems to be a strong person, I know she’ll be able to pass all her challenges.

  7. Let’s see if there is a twist. Something we don’t see coming. It’s sounding great so far.

  8. Oh dear, I cannot believe that this is happening to Maya, she really needs to consider her safety and mental health in this situation.

  9. Now I can see lots of heat now. Maya really needs to get away from Zan. Really curious to know what happened next

  10. How disgusting… abusive people! Many women do struggle and take financial responsibility. However, when taken advantage of, it should stop.

  11. I started with this chapter, and now I am intrigued by it to go back and read all the other chapters. Sounds like a plot everyone is enjoying. but there’s a Zan everywhere around us, Not sure if I should appreciate him being abusive, but he could definitely use some help. Feel sorry for Maya though.

Oh no things are getting tense and looks like Maya needs to get out and get out quick…

  13. I was not able to follow the story for weeks so, I am going to back read tonight but this situation with Zan is bad. How I wish Maya would be strong enough not to allow herself be abused this way.

  14. I do feel for Maya. Hope she gets out before she gets into the abusive relationship with Zan. And I hope he gets out of the bad phase he is in too.
