How to keep your lips soft naturally

I remember someone I knew once used to text and tell me that I have gorgeous lips and I used to laugh at it and he used to say that it is for him to find out. However, he was the only person whom I ever allowed to comment about my lips, later on, I got to know he says that to every lady. 😉 Although I never believed his compliments. With time we were no more in contact.

Recently, some other friends of mine from mywork place started asking even if I do not apply lip balm how come my lips are soft. It made me think. Then I found out unconsciously I have been doing certain stuff and it have become a habit for me.

So here you can do these

1: Use a toothbrush. In the wake of brushing your teeth, run your toothbrush under warm water, make your lips tight, and brush them.

2: Use a warm washcloth to clean it.

3: Try not to lick your lips!

I do only these 3 things and surprisingly it keeps my lips soft. Men and women anyone and everyone can try it out.

Obviously, I am wearing makeup otherwise I never look good

So, this was short but I guess it will be helpful for many.

See you soon again. Until then Take Care.

  1. Wow, really? I never heard these tips. When I read the title, I thought it will be about herbs. But these 3 tips are so easy, I can try and see the effect.

    1. Thank you for the tips. Right now the weather is changing a lot. Some days it is hot and some days cold. I find that my lips become dry easily. I appreciate your idea of brushing them and avoiding licking your lips to help with the dryness.

  3. I wouldn’t have thought to use a toothbrush on your lips. I will have to pass this along to my daughter. I am sure she would be interested in knowing about that.

I should try these tips too. Lip balms can make my lips feel “heavy” because of the oils. I think these simple natural ways to keep my lips soft and supple is what i will do from today onwards.

  7. Your tips are great. We don’t need to spend so much for lip care. We should keep it clean and get rid of the dryness just by following these simple steps.

  8. there is a weather condition in my country that deals with everyone in regards to the subject matter, i definitely needed this, thanks for sharing.

  9. Simple steps to do but sometime we tend to overlook these steps. Thank you for sharing and cant wait to get home

That’s a great tip! I wouldn’t have thought of using a toothbrush to exfoliate your lips, but it’s a simple fix for dry lips!

  11. Brittany Vantrease

This makes a lot of sense. Using your toothbrush would help exfoliate your lips. You just saved yourself from having to by a lip exfoliator.

  12. This is some really great advice. I totally need to take these and use them. I am horrible about licking and biting my lips.

  13. These are good tips. I’ve used a brush and coated with vaseline overnight to wake up with supersoft lips. 🙂

  14. I live in a very cold and dry climate and my lips are always dry! I think that licking my lips is the main culprit! Thank you for the tips.

This is short and sweet I guess. I always thought a quick lick is a good remedy. I am definitely trying this all from now on.

  17. haha what a funny story about that guy and lips compliments!
I have always dry lips here. But when I go back to my country, my lips are soft everyday without doing nothing. In my home country the weather is more humid, while here it is very dry!

I have been using a light lip scrub. It has done wonders for my lips and I’ve gotten a lot of compliments.

Wow seems so simple but I have never tried that. I will starting today…great tip’. I am addicted to chapstick so anything that helps is appreciated! Thank you!

  20. I get chap lips and I have a nasty habit of pick at my lips when they are annoying. I always have to have chopstick with me or something to make my lips moist.

  21. That is a useful tip, and everyone can do it at home as it doesn’t involve any costs. I usually just use a lip balm as my lips get terribly dry under air conditioned.

  22. I suffered from chapped dry lips since childhood, and licking them definitely made them worse. The best thing I ever did was brush my lips with my toothbrush every day and then ensure that it is moisturized immediately after. Either lip balm, gloss or lipstick to prevent them looking like dried leather 🙁

  23. Interesting! I’ve never tried the toothbrush method, I always thought that it would be too harsh on my lips. But then again, lip scrubs can be pretty harsh on your lips too, especially the elf cosmetics one. Thanks for sharing!

Mine is I scrub my lips with brown sugar and honey, three to four times a week. It works and makes me easy to apply lipsticks.

I am guilty of licking my lips! And yes, got my lips so dry that’s why I often use Lancome lip mask 🙂

I use sugar and honey scrub for my lips 3x a week. Keeps my lips soft and moist, and very enjoyable to wear matte lipstick one.
