The Car is Haunted

It was a cold winter night when Sub Inspector Prathamesh and his team of officers were patrolling the town in their police car. Despite the relatively low crime rate in the area, the officers were feeling the financial strain of the end of the month and were hoping for an opportunity to make some extra cash.

As they drove along a deserted road, they suddenly noticed a car shaking violently. “Looks like our luck has finally turned,” joked Akhil, the assistant sub-inspector, prompting laughter from the three constables in the car.

“Let’s go check it out and see what’s going on,” suggested Sub Insp Prathamesh.

The officers cautiously approached the car, expecting to find some sort of criminal activity taking place. But to their surprise, there was no one inside, neither in the front nor the back seat.

“Quick, it’s a haunted car! Let’s get out of here!” yelled Akhil, as they all ran back to their police car and sped away.

A short while later, a car mechanic emerged from beneath the car, accompanied by his girlfriend. “You were right, no one would think to look for us here,” his girlfriend said, as they both burst out laughing at the sight of the terrified police officers running away.

Hilarious. Loved the twist. I’m just squirming thinking how uncomfortable it might be under the car 😉
