Peace Before The Storm

Some people are double-faced and some are too blind to see the reality. But the real thing is time changes every one either in a good way or bad. We all have certain people around us who pretend to be our friends for their own benefit, apart from that they don’t care about others.

Maya’s best friend Pooja has become good friends with Zan too. Pooja was nice but way too immature. Maya got to know that Zan was about to return soon but she didn’t know that this time his brother was coming too, obviously Anil informed her.

On 14th March, as Zan with his brother was driving back to Gujarat, he called Maya. He spoke about random things. Maya was extremely happy as this was the first time Zan called first.

Although there were butterflies in her stomach yet she stayed calm and composed. Zan didn’t tell her that his elder brother was coming too. And Maya didn’t inform him that she is going out as well. Maya didn’t know that it was peace before the storm.

Her trip was on the 21st. Out of the blues Maya’s trip had been delayed due to bad weather. Though irritated from her journey being postponed she still went to Delhi Delights, as it was the only cafe near her house, as she entered the restaurant and went near the counter to order some food for dinner but the thing she saw made her heart skip a beat…

  1. Yes, as you get to know your friends better you also learn more about them. And you know what, it doesn’t change with age! You’d think when you’re more mature you’d know better. OK and now I’m like wanting to know so bad what happens next!

  2. I look forward to seeing what happens next. With the way things have been going in Maya’s life, it’s definitely going to be something intriguing.

  3. I just love the talent you have for setting up a scene so well with the characters and leaving at the point where the reader is wondering what is to happen next. Great way to build anticipation for how this will all turn out…

  4. What’s the future of this relationship? I read your previous entries and I know Maya has been carrying the relationship forward all by herself.

  5. Time definitely changes everyone – because we learn new things about the world, ourselves and others! Hopefully, people change for the positive but not everyone sees other people’s change as being positive! It’s all about perspective.

  6. ohh my…while reading this, it triggers my thought about something not favorable will happen between them? As the title of this story ~ storm story, am looking very much forward to find out. cheers, siennylovesdrawing

  7. It sounds like there’s a twist coming!! Why didn’t Zan tell Maya that his brother was coming, too? Why didn’t Maya tell Zan that she was going out? I’ll be interested to see what happens next 🙂
